At 1:20 p.m. on March 28, a 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar with an epicenter at a depth of 30 kilometers.
The earthquake was clearly felt in Yangon, Myanmar's largest city.
After the earthquake, CCTV Tusa reporters saw local people in Yangon running down stairs to avoid the earthquake.
The earthquake was felt throughout Myanmar.
A building collapsed in the nearby Mandalay area after the earthquake.
In addition, the Awa Bridge in Myanmar was also severely damaged by the earthquake.
According to CCTV reporters, the epicenter of the earthquake was 294 kilometers from the nearest Chinese border,
causing strong tremors in Xishuangbanna, Dehong, Kunming, Lijiang, Baoshan, Dali and other places in Yunnan,
and there were also reports of tremors in Guizhou and Guangxi.
It also caused strong tremors in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Hanoi, Thailand and many other places.
This earthquake is the 17th earthquake with a magnitude of 6 or higher in the world this year and the largest earthquake so far this year.
